The fourth artist and project leader from Norway is Emma Gunnarsson.
Emma is an artist specializing in old photo techniques and printmaking.
As an artist, Emma is passionately interested in how images can express the environment that surrounds us today and the history that has shaped us. The Norwegian landscape constantly astonishes her and has inspired many of her projects. Her artistic practice is influenced by living and working in the Arctic nature, she has worked on various cultural projects aimed at engaging the audience in reflecting on environmental issues facing us here and now. Currently living and working in Norway, this place has found a connection to her heart.
Emma grew up in Ystad in southern Sweden, a place near the coast, where the coastal landscape is filled with rich nature and wildlife. The nature in Norway reminds her of the times living in the southern landscape of Sweden. Since she moved here, over the years, she has explored different parts of Northern Norway, and now her permanent base is in Honningsvåg.
