The second artist from Norway is Christine Hansen.
Christine Hansen (b. 1969) is a Stavanger-based artist and art historian who has been working on photo-based projects since the late 1990s. Her artistic interests revolve around landscapes and the poetic aspects of everyday life.
Christine holds a Master’s degree in photography from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (2001) and a Ph.D. in art history from the University of Bergen (2012). Her works have been acquired by the Norwegian Arts Council, Haugaland Museum, and Preus Museum, and she is represented in the collections of the National Museum (Robert Meyer Collection).
She has curated and co-curated several exhibitions, including "Slow Images" at Lillehammer Art Museum (2016) and "Of Nature" at Preus Museum (2023). Christine has taught at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design from 2010 to 2019. There she has mentored young photographers through Talent Norway and has conducted numerous courses and workshops for both adults and children.
