• A welcoming morning to the city of Nicosia with a short walk in the traditional neighborhoods within the walled historical city center.

  11:30 - 14:00 Cyanotype workshop / ΚΑΦΕΝΕΙΟ 11

• This first day will give an overview of the technique and the materials for the beginners and a brief on how using Cyanotype as a form of art that can communicate social and environmental messages.
  
  Then we will create postcards and tote bags with cyanotype on printed city maps creating our own unique souvenir from the city. At the back of the postcards, we will have printed the logo of the project. The postcards can also communicate written messages that can be exchanged as part of an ice-breaking activity. 
  
  During the workshop there will also be a short briefing on the history of the city as the last divided city in Europe.
  
  Traditional Cypriot Branch can be ordered from before for the coffee break.

• Embark in private cars and make a trip through the Solea valley to the slopes of Troodos Mountain.

  10:00 - 14:00 Cleanup / workshop at Aeriko

• Prepare first the paper with the chemicals and until they dry, we will make a short walk to the riverside of Galata where we will clean up the river area of the ancient mill, from trash mainly brought here by the water. Microplastics and small objects are going to be collect separately to be used for our “trash art project” of the day. (Coffee and snacks by the river) 

  The day will continue with cyanotype making on A4 and A5 size paper (2 each participant) with the material collected. This project will aim to create artwork with an environmental message. The work produced will be used as communication material to support the local community in their effort to keep their water and village clean. The participants will create 4 groups (mix of nationalities) so 4 big collage artworks will be created.

  All the artwork produced will be exhibited in the space of Aeriko and will stay for the next 2 months for people to view during events and workshops. 

  (we will hang them to dry in a way that they stay as an exhibition)

•  Lunch in Kakopetria traditional village

  15:30 - 16:30 

• Walk around the traditional neighborhood and the nature trail of Kakopetria.

  18:00 

• Return to Nicosia

10:00 - 16:00 Go to Larnaka Phinikoudes area 

• Gather for coffee and discussion about a collective artwork on textile. (The textile 200 x 200cm will be prepared from the day before and brought ready for use.) We can decide together how to use elements from the sea, plastic trash and our bodies, feet, hands to create our collective Cyanotype. We expose it at the beach and wash it in the sea. Plan B: In case of bad weather/no sun we can go to Larnaca old city for a walk and visit Larnaca Biennale Exhibition.

• Lunch and return to Nicosia.

• Goodbye Night out for Rembetiko! (Kardia tou Manga, Mezostrati).
