She combines textiles with the Cyanotype technique due to its vibrant blue hues to explore the interplay between texture, color, and emotion.
Drawing inspiration from printing 2-dimensional analog photographs on fabric, Kat aims to impact a more 3-dimensional, sculptural sensation to her work. This approach allows for a distinctive experience as the fabric becomes tangible for the viewer. Through various assemblies, the fabric can be easily transformed into new sculptural shapes, hence disrupting the static form of a photograph and lending it a more fluid quality.
