Maria Gómez Bacete was born in #mallorca, daughter and granddaughter of #artisans, she has always been surrounded by #art.
She studied #graphicdesigndesign and later #photography at the Superior School of Design of the Balearic Islands, where she discovered the power of an image and got to know the addictive technique of #cyanotype.
At the end of her studies, she met Alejandra Frontera, a fellow student, and together they decided to continue experimenting with the cyanotype technique for the #love of Prussian blue color, so characteristic of the technique. Today they are dedicated to reproducing different designs and products, as well as #teaching what they have learned by organizing #workshops.
Together they formed Cianotipas, where they reproduce Mediterranean designs with an almost 200-year-old technique that needs sunlight and water to be able to be carried out.
